Wellness Retreats

A reset for when life feels too full
This is not a vacation. It is not a luxury escape. And it is not another thing to “do better at wellness.”
It is space to step out of your routine long enough to actually hear yourself again.
Most people arrive here feeling mentally full, a bit disconnected, and tired in a way that rest alone hasn’t fixed. They leave with more clarity, more calm, and a better sense of what actually matters right now.
Not because everything changes. But because they finally slowed down enough to see clearly.
Our Wellness Retreats include:
- Guided grounding and mindfulness experiences
- Breathwork and nervous system regulation practices
- Gentle movement and body-based practices
- Contrast therapy including sauna and cold exposure
- Guided nature walks and outdoor reflection time
- Reflective journaling and facilitated group conversations
- Opening and closing group reflection circles
- Time in nature across prairie land and walking spaces
- Access to the greenhouse for reflection and reset
- Shared meals in a communal setting
- Structured sessions balanced with unstructured free time
- A balance of group connection and intentional solo reflection
- Digital downtime or optional disconnection from devices
- On-site wellness experiences and take-home tools
- Flexible participation so you can engage or step back as needed

Step out of the noise and back into yourself
These retreats are not just designed for people who want more information.
They are for people who are ready to step away from the status quo and experience real change through reflection, connection, and intentional time away from the pace of everyday life.
You are placed in a quiet prairie setting near Carlyle, Saskatchewan, surrounded by open land and wide skies. The environment naturally slows things down. The structure of the retreat supports that same shift.
There is guidance when you need it, and space when you do not.

What the experience feels like
Your days move between guided experiences and unstructured time.
There are grounding practices that bring you back into your body. Conversations that tend to go deeper than everyday life allows. Time outside that helps reset your attention without effort.
Meals are shared and simple. You sit down, eat together, and slow the pace without trying.
Nothing is overly scheduled. The structure exists to support rest, not fill every minute.

Real feedback from real guests
We are committed to continually improving every retreat experience. Following each retreat, guests are invited to complete an anonymous survey and share honest feedback. Here are a few of their responses.
I am so grateful for being included. It is one thing to have knowledge of technics like grounding, practicing gratefulness, etc, but seeing in someone's everyday life and participating in that life even just for a few days gave me encouragement and energy to practice a healthier lifestyle (mind, body, and spirit) in my own life. And love connecting with other people, affirming we are not alone and all have our own struggles. I am looking forward to continuing meeting with the zoom group, helping keep this mindset fresh and in practice
The weekend was incredibly well thought out and very smoothly run. There were so many meaningful personal touches — from the items in the welcome gift bag to having our Kolbe results printed and bound in a booklet we could reference during our own reflection time. I really appreciated the balance between more formal educational components, relaxed conversation, and then the opportunity to decompress through movement and self-care activities. It felt intentional, cohesive, and very well paced.
Overall so good, with moments of realization and emotional tender moments hopefully leading to growth... definitely more awareness of protecting my energy. I really noticed my body feeling better after the cold plunge, which could have been all the things combined to and that's just when I became aware that I wasn't feelilng stiff like I normally do. Just being around Deb's energy raised mine, I could feel her love for a quality life, and the people around her.
At home on Sunday and even on Monday I did feel refreshed from my time at the Lodge. There were times during the weekend when I did feel tired and appreciated being able to go to bed when I felt like it and also sleep in. My head did feel pretty full by Saturday afternoon and I feel like I was likely at capacity for learning at that point. Although it is tempting for all of us to visit and ask more questions I was glad there was some down time that was maintained.
I felt recharged and invigorated. It also made me think about some things and people in my life differently. I felt - and feel now - enlightened!
This weekend was a very emotional weekend for me. Definitely learned a lot about People. The Physical aspect of this was endless just wish could have stayed longer or utilized some of it more.
Emotionally this retreat really make me turn inward, and sit with my thoughts and feelings. Physically I felt very relaxed so I was able to fully embrace my emotions. That being said my energy levels were interesting as I was relaxed physically but mentally felt exhausted as it is a lot of work to navigate and take everything in.
Learning about attachment styles and the core wounds that come with that really helped my process some difficult emotions I was avoiding, the booklet is a very good resource, the kolbe index as well! I feel physically amazing, the yoga and massage, and hot tub were awesome. The food and the sleep I got in the room left me feeling very energized!
I was clearly less stressed. I don’t know that I realized initially just how much more relaxed I was until I realized I had not used my heated wheat bag all day Saturday because my jaw wasn’t hurting and tense. I felt a peace I hadn’t in a while. I had no where to be but there and no huge decisions to make. It was dose of freedom for me.
Emotionally, it was wonderful connecting with other women who were open, reflective, and generous in sharing their stories and experiences. It was meaningful to connect with like-minded people who share similar interests in health, wellness, and personal growth. Physically, I personally enjoy movement, so I appreciated having access to the on-site gym and the outdoor walks. The yoga was relaxing and grounding, though I would also enjoy opportunities for a bit more movement-based activity in future retreats. Energetically, the weekend felt very positive and supportive. The group connected easily, and there was a calm, welcoming energy throughout the entire experience.
Emotionally, I felt grounded and supported. Physically, I left feeling relaxed and recharged. Energetically, it felt like a real reset that left me feeling lighter, clearer, and more balanced. I also noticed how often I left my phone behind in my room without even thinking about it. It felt wonderful to let the outside world go and be fully present.
Emotionally I felt so elevated and supported. It was a safe space to have an opinion and open up totally and completely. Physically is was incredible to get in touch with myself. The yoga was perfect. The practice was so relaxing. I left feeling tired, but in a positive way. Like I fulfilled a part of me that I did not use in awhile.

Walking in and seeing the greenhouse (and all the things growing) for the first time was pretty special for me, I love that we utilized it so much. I enjoyed feeling the dirt, and can only imagine how fabulous that is that here in the prairies, even in the middle of winter, you can feel the dirt under your feet! I loved that the blooms were on the trees this weekend too, felt like a new beginning and cycle of life, and not just for the tree!! Loved hearing all the birds chirping too! The food was soo good this weekend, always smelled and tasted so good!! Appreciate the thought and effort that went into those meals! Smells - the essential oils, and in particular the Ruby Reid collection, something made me feel very drawn to those and love that it's a local(ish) product!
Very welcoming home and hosts. Very comfortable rooms and space at the cabin. I don't have a hot tub so that was a novelty. Definitely good to try the sauna and cold plunge. Massages in the green house and the yoga was very sensory. I also like that you had some little extra activities in the basement.
The biggest thing that stood out to me was the comforting feeling that I felt the intros time. I felt welcomed, taken care of and loved the entire time. The evening massage, paired with the meditation was simply perfect and I would say that was one of my highlights! I also really enjoyed the meals and I feel they reflected the retreat well.
Soaking in the hot tub looking out across the fields, so warm and cozy. The yoga on the greenhouse floor with the fans humming, sooo warm very cozy and relieving muscle tension. The “rib eye in the sky” and the Saskatchewan wild rice were my favourite meal, so rich and savoury and flavourful!
I'm not exaggerating when I say this weekend was pivotal on my growth journey. I believe I'll remember it for the rest of my life as a turning point that set me on a new path of self-discovery that set me up for a better future.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. Everything is designed to be accessible. You do not need experience with meditation, breathwork, cold exposure, or any wellness practices. You will be guided through everything and can participate at your own comfort level.
That is completely fine. Participation is always optional. You are encouraged to listen to your body and step in or out of activities as needed. There is no pressure to do every session or stay involved the entire time.
The retreat is intentionally structured to include both. You will have guided group sessions and shared meals, but also unstructured time each day for rest, reflection, or time alone. You are never expected to be “on” all the time.
It is a balance of both. There is a clear rhythm to the day with guided sessions and shared experiences, but there is also significant open space built in. The structure is there to support you, not fill every minute.
Comfortable clothing for movement and outdoor time, layers for changing weather, personal toiletries, and anything that helps you feel grounded such as a journal. A more detailed packing list is typically provided after booking.
Meals are shared and designed to be simple, nourishing, and grounding. They are part of the communal experience and are meant to support both conversation and rest. Dietary considerations can typically be accommodated with advance notice.
Yes, but it is intentionally limited in how much it is encouraged. Guests are invited to disconnect where possible to support a deeper reset. You can choose your level of digital connection during your stay.
Cold exposure is an optional wellness experience designed to help with resilience and nervous system regulation. You are never required to participate. Everything is guided and safety-focused, and you can opt out at any time.
Most guests describe feeling more grounded, clear, and mentally spacious. It is not about a dramatic transformation. It is about having enough space to reset your perspective and reconnect with yourself in a more honest way.

Thank you for an amazing retreat Weekend Deb (and Blair). I enjoyed your home, land, and the incredible suite - immensely. Cant thank you enough for opening your home and being amazing hosts. I'll be back soon!
We had an amazing stay at Living Skies Lodge. From the moment we arrived everything felt warm and welcoming. The atmosphere was so relaxing that I honestly didn't feel like leaving at all. What made the stay even better was the cozy feeling and hospitality that made it feel almost like a home away from home. We would definitely love to visit again!
During my life (I’m 78 years old), I have traveled around many countries on our wonderful planet, but this house resonates with the spirit of my life. Without exaggerating, I can say that it is the most beautiful, welcoming house that I’ve had the honour to visit. I wish your entire family a long, healthy, and joyful life.
Thank you for the wonderful stay! Loved spending time in the greenhouse (when the weather was cool). Fun for Jonah & Deb to 'talk shop' about education/daycare & how to love the kids well! God's blessings on you as you continue to host people & share your home 🙂
Thank you for such a peaceful stay & the wonderful breakfast! A beautiful place to relax, for sure. We look forward to staying here again sometime. ♡
This is a very special place. Thank you for making my son's wedding extra special. The place is perfect. Would be coming back soon. Thanks for your hospitality. Best Hosts ever!! 💕
My husband's band Switch stayed at this bed and breakfast and we had such a wonderful experience. Blair and Deb were incredibly welcoming, accommodating and went above and beyond to make our stay "very" enjoyable. Their hospitality made us feel right at home, and we truly appreciate all the little touches that made our visit special. We highly recommend staying here and look forward to coming back.
All we can say is -- Amazing! We stayed at this beautiful place during our gig for the Carlyle Festival. This is the best, most cozy spot we've experienced. Deb and Blair were wonderful, friendly and hospitable hosts, and people who we can call our friends for life. Thank you so much for making us feel like home with delicious food, good company, comfortable beds and a warm, caring environment. Living Skies Lodge is Purrfect!🐾
